This landing like the others that
surround the Lake in Central Park
must now be considered
a shelter since it
no
longer functions as a point of
departure and arrival for Lake
travelers as it did at the turn of
the century. A favorite of Park
visitors it offers a prized and
serenely intriguing view of Cherry Hill in the distance and Bow Bridge that looms up
elegantly before it.
